Internet Resources

As we shift our methods of education in order to tackle today’s challenges of educating our students, remote learning has become mainstream.  For that reason, Internet access is more crucial than ever.

We are pleased to announce that EHOVE was awarded $30,293 from a BroadbandOhio Connectivity grant.  The grant will provide Internet to EHOVE high school students who do not have access at home, and to ensure that all EHOVE high school students can fully participate in remote learning.

“The grant funds will be used to supply in-home internet via Buckeye Broadband to students who do not have access at home, purchase Verizon Jetpacks to use as hotspots, and add additional wireless access points to supply additional connectivity to parking areas and high traffic portions of the outside campus,” said EHOVE Technology Manager Frank Olle.

EHOVE is currently operating in a hybrid model of learning, incorporating both in-person and remote learning.  Olle says the school’s tech department is already working with students and their families to implement their access.

“We are ready for the uncertainties of this time – prepared to switch between remote, hybrid and in-person learning throughout the year as needed,” said Olle. “With the support of this grant, our students have the resources needed to participate and succeed regardless of our current mode of learning.”
