Three EHOVE students participated in the Educators Rising national competition in Orlando, Florida to demonstrate their skills against students from other schools throughout the country.  The 2700 competing students qualified by being top placers at their states' competitions.

Education & Family Careers student Ada Vandergoot (Huron HS) placed 5th nationally in the Public Speaking category.  Education & Family Careers students Hailee Meyer (Vermilion HS) and Savannah Ostheimer (Monroeville HS) competed in the Project Visualization event with their presentation called Project Happy about their community service with OHgo, a mobile food pantry and programs provider for disadvantaged people in the community.

Participating in student organizations and competitions allows EHOVE students to experience the leadership opportunities, community service work, chance to apply the career field skills they’ve learned, and professional connections and opportunities. 

Students who participate in Educators Rising for the chance to apply the career field skills they’ve learned, leadership experience, professional connections, skills competitions and opportunities to win scholarships.  More information is available at www.educatorsrising.org.
