Congratulations to our latest Gallery of Success inductees, Lisa Collins and Craig Carson! They were honored at Fall Advisory, the annual event where nearly 600 professionals from more than 400 area businesses and organizations participate in EHOVE’s business advisory groups. EHOVE welcomes their experience and expertise to help build the career center’s curriculum and offer more certifications and skills to help prepare students for a successful future.
Upon graduating from EHOVE’s Practical Nursing program, Collins worked as a unit manager in a long-term care facility while simultaneously earning her bachelor’s in nursing. She has since served as a Mental Health Case Manager for CareSource. Her story has come full circle as she is now an EHOVE instructor!
She said, “My career started with my positive experience at EHOVE. I didn't realize it at the time, but my experience at EHOVE stirred a lifelong desire to learn and grow as a nurse and as a person.”
Carson's experience in EHOVE’s Engineering Industrial Technology program catapulted him into obtaining his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from The University of Toledo. He now works with Ariel Corp. as a Projects and Processing Engineer. Earlier this year, he earned a master’s from The Ohio State University in Engineering Management.
“EHOVE provided me with an early foundation of hands-on experience, teaching me applicable skill sets for everyday and professional situations, and providing me with confidence to pursue great educational heights,” said Craig.
